The inspiration
Build Secure Protect was made after the last Voltz server shut down in 2018. Several modpacks have tried to capture what Voltz had, but they never seemed to nail it, in our opinion. BSP is another attempt to bring back one of the classic modded Minecraft experiences.
Voltz was a warfare modpack that let you build multiblock nuclear reactors and huge power systems, and fire missiles at each other. It gave you an objective beyond just building a base: you had to design something that could protect everything you owned from an incoming nuke.
The team
The BSP team has spent a long time putting together the modpack and building a server that gives players a real reason to use the mods in the pack to their full extent. We hope you enjoy the server and the modpack as much as we have enjoyed building them!
The modpack
BSP is a Forge modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 with nearly 300 mods. Tech mods such as Mekanism, Create, Applied Energistics 2, Thermal, Ender IO, Powah and Extreme Reactors give you the power and the factories. For defence and attack there are force fields (Modular Force Field System), Mekanism Turrets, Create Big Cannons, Ballistix, Nuclear Science and Nuclear Bombs.
Tying it all together are our own mods, written for this pack:
- BSP-Core: The Shatter Totem, three metals and their machines, coins, the bank and shops, Wave Plasma, teams and kits.
- Teleport: Homes, warps, portals and team teleports across the network, and access to every server.
- RankUp: Climb the ranks by playing, fighting and raiding. Every rung pays out.
- Region Guard: Buy land and run your own claim, mine in mines that refill, and walk from one server's world to the next.
- Inventory Sync: Your inventory follows you from server to server.
