Magnetic Centrifuge

BSP-Core 1.6.2 MachineMultiblock

Separates Magnatite Ore and, with a coil fitted, charges Magnatite Ingots. Stack it higher for better odds.

What it does

Job In Out Time, by default
Separate 1 Magnatite Ore 3 Magnatite Nugget + 1 Carbon Dust (one layer) 30 s
Charge (coil fitted) 1 Magnatite Ingot 1 Charged Magnatite Ingot, 1 in 6 per try (one layer) 30 s a try
Magnetise 1 Resonance Crystal + 1 Magnatite Nugget in the upgrade slot 1 Charged Resonance Crystal 10 s

Charging needs a Copper Tetrium Coil fitted. A failed try keeps the ingot.

Building it

The Magnetic Centrifuge
The Magnetic Centrifuge

One block high and three by three: the controller at the front centre, a Centrifuge Rotor in the middle, an Item Hatch on the left (blue socket, items in and out), a Centrifuge Power Port on the right (yellow socket, RF), and 5 Centrifuge Casing. It always needs RF.

Stacking

Put another Rotor on top of the first and ring it with eight Casing to add a layer, up to six.

  • More nuggets from each ore: up to 7 to 9 with six layers.
  • Better charging odds: from 1 in 6 with one layer up to 1 in 2 with five.
  • Six layers: each charging try is much quicker.

Every layer draws power, and charging draws far more than separating.
