Plasma Injector
Wave Plasma can drive machines. A Plasma Injector stands against a machine and makes it run faster the more plasma arrives.
How it works
Place the injector with its nozzle against the machine. The cable goes into the port on the far end, the only face a cable connects to. Only what is arriving counts, so a cut cable or a stolen totem slows the machine back down within a second or two.
| Plasma arriving | Machine speed |
|---|---|
| Nothing | Normal |
| 300 mB/t | Twice as fast |
| 500 mB/t | Three times as fast |
What it works on
Every BSP-Core machine: against any block of the Illyrium Crucible, Illyrium Refinery or Magnetic Centrifuge, or against a Tetrium Crucible or Combination Forge. On a Shatter Coin Factory it stands in one of the three Motivator cells and speeds that slice only, on top of what the Motivators do.
It also works on most machines from other mods, which it ticks extra. A few that keep their own clock ignore it.
Overclock
Overclock on a totem travels with the plasma. Every injector fed from that totem's extractors, however far the cables run, multiplies its speed-up above normal:
| Overclock | Speed-up multiplied by |
|---|---|
| Level I | × 1.25 |
| Level II | × 1.5 |
| Level III | × 1.75 |
| Level IV | × 2 |
EXAMPLE A run that gives a machine twice its speed gives it three times at Overclock IV. Plasma stored in a Plasma Tank keeps its Overclock; a projector cannot send it.
