Teams
Build together, defend together. A team shares everything except the right to steal from each other.
What a team gives you
Every member counts as a friend with full access on every teammate's totem. You can:
- open a teammate's totem panel, buy its upgrades and raise its tier (the one buying pays);
- pass its Ward and Alarm, use its machines and see through its Cloaking;
- teleport straight to any teammate, on any server.
Teammates cannot steal from each other, and the Totem Compass leaves teammates' totems alone.
Making a team
- Open the Team screen: the TEAM button in the top-left corner of your inventory, the TEAM tab on your totem's panel, or a key you set in Controls.
- Name the team, pick its colour and press CREATE.
- Invite players who are online from the INVITE view. A seat is held for a minute while they decide.
A team holds up to five, and you can be in one team at a time. On the network, a team is the same team on every server, and the member list shows which server each teammate is on.
Answering an invite
An invite appears as a card at the top right with the inviter's face and the team's name, and a chime. Answer with the two keys on the card (Y and H unless you change them), or with the Accept and Decline buttons in chat, which work from inside any screen.
The leader
The leader can rename the team, change its colour, remove members, hand the lead to someone else, and disband it. Everyone may invite. The leader hands the lead over before leaving.
Leaving, being removed, or a disband takes the shared access away at once. Upgrades belong to the totem, so they stay with it whoever leaves.
Talking
- Press TEAM CHAT on the Team screen and everything you type goes to the team until you press it again. A pill above the chat shows while it is on.
/t <message>sends one line to the team without switching.- The team board keeps the last fifty lines for members who were away, counts the unread ones when you log in, and the leader can pin a note above it.
Team teleports
Every online teammate has a GO key on the Team tab of your Teleport Band, and a TELEPORT key on the Team screen. It takes you straight there, on any server, with no request to answer and no cost; your teammate is told you are coming.
One rule: a team teleport never lands within 150 blocks (by default) of any steal in progress on the network.
Describes BSP-Core 1.6.2, Teleport 0.2.5, RankUp 0.4.0 and Region Guard 0.6.0. Numbers are the defaults; the server's settings may differ.
