Ranks, kits and seasons
Play, fight and raid, and your rank climbs by itself. Each season, everyone races for the top three.
Ranks
Ranks are earned, never asked for. Everything you do earns points:
- time spent online;
- players defeated and mobs killed;
- Shatter Totems you steal, and totems you defend when someone tries to steal yours.
The server can switch on more, such as land bought or season score. The exact points are on Your rank.
The ranks form a ladder. When your points pass the next rung you move up at once, you are told what you got, and the whole server hears about it. A rank is never taken away because your points fell.
The server can run several ladders, such as one for playtime and one for raiding, and you climb each separately. There are also awards, single ranks earned once you reach a target. Your rank's title shows before your name in chat and the tab list, sometimes as a picture.
Every rung pays out. Depending on the rung, that can be Shatter Coins, pieces in your bank, items, a title in chat, or a kit. Higher ranks also open doors: some areas and mines are kept for them, and they can own more land.
See your rank by pressing U, clicking the R button in your inventory, or typing /rank. The screen shows the ladder with your rung lit, your points, the bar to the next rung and what it gives, the fastest ways to get there, and everything that counted.
FAIR PLAY Killing the same player again within ten minutes (by default) counts nothing, and kills between teammates never count. Using a second account to farm points is against the rules.
Kits
A kit is a bundle of items the server hands out: at your first login, as a reward when you reach a rank, or from the kit browser. Open it with the KITS button in the top-left corner of your inventory, a key you set in Controls, or /kits.
Every kit is a card:
| Card | What it means |
|---|---|
| Green | Ready. Press REDEEM and the items land in your inventory. |
| Grey | Taken lately. It says how long until it is ready again, or that it was once only. |
| Locked | It says why: the rank to reach, the server to be on, the price in pieces against your balance, or the inventory slots to free. |
| Violet | Given to you but did not fit, or came while you were away. Free the slots it names and press TAKE IT. |
Click a card's picture to see what is inside. Nothing is ever lost: a kit never goes into an inventory that cannot take it, and a price is only charged after that check.
Seasons
The server runs in seasons. During a season, every totem you own scores points by its tier:
| Tier | Points |
|---|---|
| I | 1 |
| II | 2 |
| III | 4 |
| IV | 7 |
| V | 10 |
A placed totem counts for its owner; a carried totem counts for whoever is carrying it. Ties go to the player with more totems, then the higher tier. The Score Screens at spawn show the standings across the whole network, the season's rules and the prizes.
When a season ends:
- the top three players receive the season's prizes;
- every totem is removed, and every player gets one fresh Tier I totem;
- seasonal ranks drop back to the highest permanent rank below them, and the climb starts again (permanent ranks stay for good);
- homes may be cleared, and the server may clear the land claims in a world.
If you are offline when it happens, your prizes and your new totem are waiting when you next log in. Your bank balance is never touched.
That is the guide
You know enough to play. The wiki has every block, item, recipe and power when you need the details, and the Discord is the place for questions. Good luck, and keep your totem close.
